"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Chuck says, letting out a wry laugh, mostly to hide the truth of it. Though he would very much like it not to be the case, sometimes he still can't get his father's words out of his head, accusing him of not being a good person, as if he ever had a chance to learn how to be anything other than what he is. Where Beth is concerned, he fully believes that the end of their short-lived relationship wasn't anything he did, but that doesn't mean he isn't going to fuck it up with someone else. He doesn't know how to do that sort of thing. He's barely had any experience at all. Hell, he has no idea what this is in the first place.
