"All right," Jason says, getting to his feet and moving them towards the edge of the rock. "Remember how to get down?"

It was much, much easier than going up. He got himself turned and started rappelling down the side of the rock, bouncing off the face until his feet hit the ground and he could wait for her.

"Come on," he said, holding his hands up. "I'll make sure you get down safe."
