"I'm no doctor," he laughs before sliding his hands along her shoulders and bringing his lips close behind. "Lay back and close your eyes. I'll do my best."

He doesn't need medical skills for this sort of thing. He just needs some confidence and he needs her and right now, he has both. The confidence is shaky, always, but it's growing more and more solid as things progress.
