"Y'know, at first, back at the prison, I kinda thought it drove you crazy how much I talked," she says and she's still close enough to him that her lips brush against his skin as she speaks. There's stuff to do, food to prepare, desserts to bake, but it's probably going to take something close to a miracle to get her out of bed today. This is what Christmas is supposed to be. Happiness and love and warmth, finding a place where you belong and staying there for as long as you need.

"But no one ever asked you to come see Judith when I was watchin' her," she continues, then presses another kiss against his jaw. "And you never had to stick around if you thought I was annoying. You didn't have to be the one to come tell me about Zach. Didn't have to spend time with me at all if you really didn't want to."

And it wasn't as if they were that close, it wasn't like Daryl spent all his time around her, but it had been enough. Enough for her to realize she didn't annoy him nearly as much as she had originally thought.
