She loves him so much that it feels sort of unbelievable at times. Like no one person is ever meant to feel something this big or this much and she wiggles closer to him on her stomach, close enough that she can rest her head on his stomach and look up at him. The kitten is close to her head like this and she feels a little paw bat at her hair, a gentle sort of pressure on her ponytail. But the purring is close and it's soothing and she thinks she might end up loving this cat just as much as Daryl does.
"You don't have to name her right away," she says. "You can take your time. Figure it out."
He looks a little shy, though, and that makes her smile. because it does something inside her. It lights her up and pulls something tight and makes her wonder how, in the entire world, this is where she ended up. Exactly where she needs to be. She wonders if she's been guided here, if they all have, but no matter what, no matter how they got here, this is the right place. They found it.
