Beth feels kind of sick.

She's not sure if it's the fact that she's come to Chuck's place to break up with him or the fact that she's never broken up with a boyfriend before because they've all died that's doing it, but either way, as she presses the buzzer for his apartment, she feels her stomach do a slow roll. This isn't allowed. She's not allowed to feel sick, she's not allowed to want to throw up, not when she can face walkers and do the things she's had to do. This shouldn't be so scary in comparison.

But it really is. It's scary and it makes her sad because Chuck hasn't done anything wrong. Maybe if he was a jerk to her or he treated her poorly it would be easier, but he's a good guy. He's sweet to her and he's kind and Beth still likes him. If not for everything else she's been feeling, she thinks this maybe could have been something that lasted.

Those other feelings, though, they're kind of big. It's not just that she's attracted to someone else, which she's sure happens to everyone, and it's not just that she's noticed someone else in passing. She might like Chuck a lot, but she loves Daryl. Big, heart thumping, sweaty palms, can't imagine life without him love, and that's not fair to Chuck. No matter what happens, even if Daryl says he'd never want her, even if their friendship ends over this, it's not fair to Chuck to keep dating him when she's feeling like this about someone else.

So she'd texted him and asked if she could come over to talk. It even looks ominous on her phone, little white letters on a blue background, but she'd had to do it. She can't continue to lie to Chuck or herself or Daryl, and she can't go to his place now pretending everything is okay.

He's probably going to hate her. She's probably going to deserve it.
